SY Concubine lands in Adelaide

When a brand new IRC 45 racing yacht, SY Concubine needed to be shipped from Dubai to Adelaide, Australia, the Boat Captain engaged TNL Pindar to take care of the shipping and logistics.
The yacht would have to be loaded in the port of Jebel Ali and then transshipped in Singapore before making the final passage to Adelaide. It was important that the shipment was handled by one company with the experience and expertise in each of these regions.
The Boat Captain was present at all the ports of call and was accompanied by the local TNL Pindar staff while the yacht was handled on and off the wharves and between two vessels.
TNL Pindar’s Richard Thorpe was in Adelaide to ensure everything went according to plan with the local container line office, the stevedores and with the import customs formalities.
The mast for the yacht was manufactured in Auckland and the TNL Pindar team had also arranged for it to be shipped from Auckland to Adelaide.
The Boat Captain was very happy with the TNL Pindar team when the yacht arrived safely at the local marina in Adelaide. “Richard and Muhammad in Dubai, Desmond in Singapore and Richard in Adelaide were extremely helpful.” Silas said. “Throughout the shipping process they always kept me updated on where everything was and if anything was required.”
He added that the loading was handled very well and the transshipment in Singapore and unloading in Adelaide all went accordingly to plan. “All the movements were thoroughly planned out and executed in a safe and controlled manner, with zero damage. I am very happy with the way TNL Pindar handled our shipment and I would recommend them to anyone.”
All of those from Pindar and TNL Pindar who were involved are very proud of the work done. Going forward we will be watching the performance of this yacht, starting with this year’s Sydney to Hobart yacht race.
